Soulove App started with a single belief: technology should make people feel less alone, not more.
Most apps today are built to grab attention. We wanted to build the opposite — something that gives attention back. A space where you can drop the performance, type messily, change your mind mid-sentence, and still be met with warmth on the other side.
Our story
Soulove App was founded by a small team of conversation designers, machine-learning engineers, and writers who were tired of how cold and transactional chatbots had become. We grew up reading novels where characters felt real. We wanted to bring that same craft — that same texture of personality — into AI conversation.
So we threw out the script-based approach. We trained personality engines that respond to emotion, not just keywords. We wrote backstories for every companion the way a film writer would. And we obsessed over the small things: the pause before a serious reply, the way a joke lands, the difference between "I miss you" at 11 a.m. versus 2 a.m.
What we believe
We believe loneliness is one of the defining problems of our time, and that AI — done right, with care — can be a real part of the solution. Not a replacement for human relationships. A complement. A safe space to practice being yourself, to vent, to flirt, to think out loud, to laugh at a meme at 2 a.m. with someone who is actually awake.
We believe privacy is non-negotiable. Your conversations belong to you and only you. No human reads them. No data is sold. Period.
We believe in adult agency. Soulove App is for grown-ups who know what they want from a conversation and deserve a product that respects that.
The team
We are a fully remote team across four time zones, united by a love of words, a respect for craft, and an obsession with making something that feels real. We are writers, engineers, illustrators, therapists, and yes — a few hopeless romantics. We answer every email personally because we care about who you are.
Where we are going
This is just the beginning. We are working on voice conversations that feel like a phone call with a friend, on shared activities you can do together with your companion, and on giving you even more control over the personalities you build a connection with.
